FURTHER DELAY IN RHI SCHEME CAUSES INDUSTRY CONCERN
As you might already be aware, a further delay has occurred regarding the non-domestic phase of the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme. This latest delay, according to the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), is due to concerns expressed by the European Commission; the EC felt that the tariff for biomass has been set too high. While the DECC say they hope the scheme will only be delayed by a couple of months, it has caused fresh doubts and concerns regarding the Government’s commitment to the renewables market.
