When connecting a new heat pump direct to a radiator / under floor domestic heating circuit it is advisable to ensure the heating circuit is cleaned and flushed out of all sludge and corrosion debris before the new heat pump is installed .

Method Statement for Powerflushing Domestic Systems

This method statement has been written as a guide for cleaning of existing domestic central heating systems using a Fernox Powerflow Flushing unit in conjunction with Fernox cleaning products.  System cleanliness is checked using a Fernox Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) Meter. 

Fernox are unable to comment on system cleaning using chemicals supplied by other manufacturers, nor the accuracy of alternative cleanliness checking equipment.

Method Statement for LP Sterox

LP Sterox is ideal for disinfecting the stored water system in all domestic properties, small nursing homes, sheltered housing and small commercial properties. Disinfections should be carried out following periods of heavy use, for example, after morning baths/showers. These instructions assume normal water use in a building.
